The Nintendo DS is the latest Nintendo handheld console by Nintendo, and one that utilises a wide range of innovative to allow for unique gameplay experiences. It was originally announced on November 13, 2003.

The most known feature of the DS is it's two screens, the top one being a normal screen like that of the GBA SP, and the bottom one being an interactive touch screen, often used for mnay of the games. It also has a microphone for voice chat and recognition, and a port to play GBA games in the same way the GBA played Gameboy and Gameboy Colour games.
