DS Ultimate Game

The DS Ultimate Game is the official video game of DS Ultimate, and is a fan project of NintenDan. It's a platform/shooter type game in the same general style as the Mega Man series, and it has a rather simple but effective story. The trailer was made by Ninjablooper.

A hacker is attacking DS Ultimate, and has sent armies of spam bots to cause mayhem! Now, take control of the moderators of the forum, and fight back against the spammers, using your special abilities to destroy the bots and defeat the evil hacker as you rush through various boards here and external forums!

cheat-master30 - Kamek: Average

The administrator of the humble DS Ultimate Forums, this guy doesn't want to lose his beloved site and will do anything to stop the person behind such evil deeds! Cheat's running and shooting is of a standard speed, but his jumping is very good. His Special Power is the "Big Bertha Ban". Cheat summons a tiny little square, which explodes with massive proportions when it comes in contact with an enemy or platform. Any little sucker caught in the blast radius is toast, excluding bosses and particular enemies, of course.

NintenDan - Shy Guy: Light

One of sole members responsible for smilies, designs, and being called insane, NintenDan is an average among the team. His running and jumping are normal, whereas his bullet speed is slightly faster than cheat's. His Special Power is "Smilie Shootout". NintenDan crouches and then unleahses a barrage of smilies to take out evil doers. Each smilie has different stats, whether they be indestructable or explosive. Finding out what does what is the fun part!

GenericMan121 - Knuckle Joe: Light

Another great member of the team, Generic is also another middle class hero. Running and jumping are slightly better than cheat and NintenDan's, but what he makes up in agility he lacks in bullet speed, but not by too much. Gen's Special Power is "Terrible Joke". Just when you thought the gags in the storyline couldn't get worse, they just did. Gen screams out a joke of horrific proportions, instantly knocking out any enemies in sight. Of course, this excludes bosses and some special enemies.

Blubomber17 - Blue Fire Man: Average

A member with speed, Blu is a great and swift character. His speed is good, just like his bullet speed, but his jumping could use some help. Even though he is fast, he is still an average character. His Special Power is "Debate-Zilla". Pressing 'Space Bar' makes Blu start debating and create a force field of screams that protect him from any projectile and enemy. Pressing 'Space Bar' again makes him stop. Of course, you can't move while doing this, but it's a handy skill. He also has a Mini-Skill, this being "Flame Shot". Pressing the up arrow key makes Blu shoot a nice stream of Fire above. Handy for hitting switches or high up enemies!

Elvis1835 - Sonic: Speedy

The fastest member of the team, Elvis really is super. His speed is the greatest among the team, and his jumping is a bit better then Blubomber17s. His bullet speed is also fast. But what's the downside? His Special Move. His is called "Random Jibberish", in which Elvis yells in the direction he's facing, shooting a projectile of unwanted words. It kills enemies in a snap, but it's smaller than other Special Powers.

TheUltimateKoopa - Koopa Troopa: Heavy

Nicknamed TUK for short, he is what you'd call the line between medium and heavy class. He's slower than the average three mentioned at the start, but his jumping makes up for it. His bullets are nice and fairly speedy too. TUK's Special Power is "Math Tornado". TUK, being good at Mathematics, has decided to use the numbers to his advantage. He creates a tornado and shoots it at his foes. The good thing about this is that he can also shoot the tornado upwards by simply pressing the up arrow key. That technique is TUK's Mini-Skill.

Turpinator - Robot in Cosplay Disguise: Speedy

Turpinator is among the speedies in the team, and also has rapid bullet firing, but he has some below average jumping. He's a good character though. His Special Power is "Signature Drop". Turp is famous for making great signatures at the DS Ultimate Forums, so he's putting his talent to good use again. Turp creates a signature and slams it down on foes in a crushing, Thwomp like manner. Turp also has a Mini-Skill, called "Invisible User". Pressing the down arrow key makes him invisible and invulnerable to any attacks or enemies, and pressing down on the arrow key again returns him to normal.

NINTENDUDECT - Waluigi: Heavy

This fellow is a great help to the team! He not only figures out how to shoot bullets with the bots, he also figures out how to perform special moves as well! His speed isn't too great, putting him in the heavy class, but he is the proud owner of the best jumping ability in the team. Bullet speed is fairly average.

Benoit489 - Minish Cap Styled Link

Light

Benoit is one of three newcomer Moderators to DS Ultimate. Because of this, he wasn't invited to help out with the rescue with it being too risky and all. But will he and the two others end up getting in on the action? Jumping and speed are slightly below average and bullet speed is normal.

Dragorium15 - Jigglypuff Average

The second newcomer Moderator, he too wasn't invited, but he has a feeling he will be needed later on... Being in the Average category, he has no flaws or main strengths, but his jumping is above average for an average... that couldn't have sounded any more wrong.

One_eye - Captain Falcon Speedy

The third and last in the trio of new Moderators, he is okay with not helping. But he too is along with Benoit and Dragorium and thinks his time to shine will come soon. He has poor jumping abilities, but strives for speed, making his bullet speed increase greatly because of this.

There are multiple items in this game, and they are:

Health Circles- Like hearts in The Legend of Zelda and coins in Mario, they replenish health. Nothing else.
Power Squares- Come in many types, with one for extra speed, one to slow characters down, one to make them huge and invincible like a Mega Mushroom and one which makes them small like a Mini Mushroom.

Power Square Types

Mega Square: Make your character grow in epic proportions! While Mega, you can squish any Spam Bot, destroy any blocks, virtually exterminate anything in sight! Sadly, your speed is decreased badly, but at least nothing can get you.
Mini Square: Squeeze through tiny gaps in this form! Your speed is improved, whereas jumping isn't. Good for sneaking past Spam Bots, as you cannot get hurt in this form!
Electro Square: Get electric with this Square! Grabbing this surrounds you in a shield of electricity! You can walk through electricity bolts with ease and destroy any enemy at will!
Fire Square: HOT HOT HOT! That's what you'll be saying when you get these abilities! You combust into flames, allowing you to pass through fire and destroy enemies. Melt things, burn things! DESTROY!

The game will be released in chapters, each ending with a code to move onto the next chapter. Each chapter has around five levels, and a boss at the very end.
