Morph and Transport Guide
In this game, there are many forms of transport and alternate forms Yoshi can take to get places in levels and solve puzzles. Below is information on each of them.
Morph Forms
Helicopter
You hit the helicopter bubble and you can fly by moving Yoshi around! It's probably the best morph form in the game, and is also one of the most used, being used at least in some levels.
Mole
One of the most used, but also hated forms, this changes Yoshi into a mole tank which can go up walls and on ceilings by using the control pad. Really used to get through narrow passages with dirt within, and used in a couple of levels such as extra level 5.
Submarine
A very rare form, this allows Yoshi to go underwater. Sadly, they just had to remove the torpedoes, so he is now defenceless against the various enemies such as Rip Van Fish, Cheep Cheeps and the like down there. Only really found in level 3-3, The Island of Peril.
Skis
Another pretty hated but cool form, Yoshi wears skis with this form, and automatically goes right across the screen. You can jump with the usual controls, so jump over the gaps and rocks! Sadly, you will die a lot with this alternate form, which is found in 4-7, Supercool Chill Zone and A Light in the Dark.
Transport
Kangaroo
A pretty rare type of transport, riding in the Kangaroo pouch is pretty much the first form of transport you will come across, and is required to get one flower in the whole game. You can jump extra high and glide with the usual controls.
Raft
The rarest transport ever, this is found in the level called 'Up the Creek', where you must use it to cross a river of Lunge Fish which can instantly kill Yoshi. No controls so to speak.
Spaceship
My favourite method of transport in the game, this allows you to blast off into space and fly around while collecting vast amounts of coins! Watch out for planets and rock weilding shy guys though. Only found in Moltz the Goonie's Fort and Bowser's Castle.
