Mario Party 8 Recalled
Mario Party 8 has been withdrawn from sales in Europe, and although the reason why has not officially been confirmed by Nintendo, various sources say this is because a minor character (although Kamek should NOT be a minor character) said the word spastic during gameplay. What does this show to me? Two things:
1- Huge overreacting by Nintendo, recalling sales because of one word said which had an innocent meaning anyway. 2- That Nintendo does not check their game content enough. It's bad enough the amount of glitches let slip through the radar, and possibly offensive things at other times, but recalling because Nintendo's testers obviously fail badly at their job? Fire them already! Either way, other examples of moronic quality check lacking include the whole of Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario 64 DS, plagued with glitches, and the infamous name glitch which had to be patched after they let an exploit that ran a mathematical calculation be used. That was as bad as an forum or PHP software company not checking for SQL injection vulnerabilities and opening the whole software to attack by hackers.Either way, the very censored story can be read at the link below (because Nintendo can NEVER admit their mistakes):
Do they call that an article? I've written longer forum posts that were not MEANT to be long!
