Mario Kart DS Options
This page is all about what the various options do in Mario Kart DS, and how to use them.
Normal Settings
The sound option just allows you to alter the sound type, from surround, to stereo or headphones and back.
The locate friend just says whether the locate friend option (higher chance of finding friend online) is activated.
Edit
Nickname allows you to change your name which is displayed in vs mode, and in Time Trial records. You can use the many buttons on the touch screen keyboard to enter your name, which will then be saved and displayed.
Emblem allows you to edit your emblem. This is always shown on your kart, and by your name online, so try and make a good emblem! This is like a very tuned down version of Microsoft Paint.
Erase Data
This is simply to erase all game data.
