Help!

i am trying to upload this picture as my avatar:

I have edited it with paint to say my name on the bottom; and when i try to upload it it says : "This is not a valid image". The picture, after adding, is 18.8 KB [OK] and 80x80 pixels [OK]. So what is the problem?...

It also says the vertical res and horizontal res is 96x96.
does that have anything to do with it it not uploading?

I think it might be what the image type is.

Ah yes. Has to be GIF, JPEG or PNG. No BMP files can be uploaded as avatars.

Just open it in Paint. It works on my computer.

i do, then i add the "symerwizkid22" to the bottom and then i save it to "my pictures"...

but it doesn't work!
