I made over 1000 posts in a month. I hope this place keep this activity level personally, as it cannot be left to die! Ironically, I have seen a ton of forums with over 4 times the members and yet about a third or less of the posts...

The Big Boards directory shows only boards with over 500 000 posts. Or that used to have. But it is a bit outdated.

The only thing it`s missing is more Sony members in my opinion. I can`t find a better Lemmings forum anywhere. The one in gamefaqs is dead.

Any old game forum on Gamefaqs is dead. Seriously, the sequels kill the boards for the originals, and more obscure games get ignored altogether. I disagree with the idea of just more Sony members though, and I think what we need is fans of other series other than just Mario and The Legend of Zelda (and Pokemon as well by now).

Oh, and I think we have a minor problem community wise, or two of them:

1- Whenever we advertise this place as an escape from trolls and pests, the exact same trolls and pests join. I mean, Spell Checker, Pikmin, Snakeiller (no offence to the first and last after being compared to Pikmin). We really need to advertise, but I think the problem is that we need to advertise some great thing that people cannot live without. The main site looks like a good draw for members and advertising in my opinion, as do the profiles (Myspace type ones with comments) and arcade, and smilies and BB codes like videos in posts. We need to advertise, but also to stop advertising as a place to escape n00bs, as that makes the said n00bs more want to join.

2- We need more active posters. I mean, we only really have about 20 super active ones, and to maintain the community, we need more of those kinds of members. People like me, UltimateKoopa, Generic, Nintendan, Elvis, Symerwhizkid, Conic etc.

3- We need to get some old members back. Maybe a Newsletter would help, like the old 'Glitch Hunters Times' thing I used to run ages back?

4- Feature problems. Awards non implementable because of coder skills lacking. Shop/Points/RPG battle systems only available for version 3.5 Professional integrated photo gallery, full featured RPG system and articles sytem costing like $200 upfront each. vBulletin blogs about 3 months away and still in development. I'm running out of ideas here, because of a few annoying circumstances...

Not sure. Just saying how ironic that Spell Checker I said was not a member and you could escape him here, then he joined which annoyed some of the 'then new members'. Or the same with Pikmin.
