I read that the four sword game for DS was truned in to this.. so the Four sword was canceld.... anyone else read that or hear that.. i've been looking for where I read it but I can't seem to find it

I haven't heard that.

Me neither. Would be likely though.
benoit489
7th January 2007, 09:46 PM
Kind of odd, seems like the DS would be their best bet to have a succesful Four Swords game because of WiFi and the large user-base.
cheat-master30
7th January 2007, 09:57 PM
Yeah. I think it may eventually happen though. Imagine teaming up with different random people for each level, or for all the story, or with friends! That would be many neat options and ways to play.
caprontos
8th January 2007, 04:43 PM
Well Gamfaqs has its relese date TBA... and I agree Four swords should be on the DS with Wifi support
cheat-master30
8th January 2007, 05:49 PM
True. It would also be cool if a proper 3D Legend of Zelda game was on the DS as well (more like that Nintendo 64 and Gamecube Legend of Zelda games).
caprontos
8th January 2007, 06:30 PM
they could make a MM master quest...
and they can port OoT like they did with mario brothers and add a bunch of stuff
cheat-master30
8th January 2007, 08:13 PM
Majoras Mask would be better than Ocarina of Time for the DS, if only because Ocarina of Time has been ported so many times it's gotten kind of old. Wonder if the same happens to Super Mario 64 soon?
caprontos
8th January 2007, 08:54 PM
but nintendo would prolly do OoT because people like that game more an some would say its the best Zelda ever others the best game ever.. (I'm not one of those people btw)
I would like to see MM with new sidequest and mask maybe a new dungeon?
cheat-master30
8th January 2007, 09:04 PM
I would like to as I have never played that game before. Seriously, I would like to play that, Paper Mario for the Nintendo 64, Super Mario RPG and maybe another game or two like A Link to the Past. Oh well, there is the virtual console.

you never played MM... you should you can prolly still buy it at an EB or gamestop...
cheat-master30
8th January 2007, 09:31 PM
I don't want a Nintendo 64 version as I don't have that any more (or it is all unplugged). Maybe I'll get it for the Virtual Console.
caprontos
8th January 2007, 10:38 PM
well if you can find the Collecters disk you can play MM on gamecube
cheat-master30
8th January 2007, 10:47 PM
Maybe. Oh, and maybe post in some other topics?
P.S. What Legend of Zelda game do you think should be re-made, or what type of new one would work on the DS?
benoit489
9th January 2007, 09:57 PM
I would want a Link's Awakening remake in 3d. That game would be awesome.
cheat-master30
9th January 2007, 10:07 PM
It would be. You do know someone on Gamefaqs I think has been created 3D rendered art of various parts of that game, right? Look it up on the board if you want to see for yourself.

I'd like them to re-make Seasons and ages and give them minish cap or AlttP graphics either is fine... and make the third game that was for Force ( the third goddes form OoT) and would have been green... and add in more secrets because theres now three games to work with.. the technology for the DS has to be good enough to do that now...
cheat-master30
9th January 2007, 11:32 PM
It must be. The idea though of releasing the third game sounds good, the only problem is that I do not know how many people will be inspired to buy two exact re-makes and one new game just for some secrets. Most would just buy the new game.

That's what made me interested in a new one. I'm not sure about having it in full 3D though. Maybe if they used the engine for OoT on the DS that would be cool.
cheat-master30
10th January 2007, 09:53 PM
Maybe. It would be interesting to say the very least. Wasn't that the game with many Mario enemies as well in the game, such as Chain Chomps, Goombas and Piranha Plants?

Chain Chomp wasn't really an enemy, it actually helped for the earlier part of the game. Kirbys were also in the game. So was a Yoshi doll. I think there were others too but I can't remember. I need to get a working one again. The DX version was even better, it had color to it and an extra dungeon. The option of different suits was also pretty cool, blue giving you higher defense and red giving you higher attack. The bosses were also fun. I would suggest getting it, you can find it on Ebay for anywhere from $8 to $13.
cheat-master30
10th January 2007, 11:30 PM
I know, I just said that because of confusion with another game. Oh, and nice. Wasn't there also a picture of Princess Peach, a frog like Wart and some other guy from Sim City on the NES/SNES or whatever?

caprontos
21st January 2007, 06:48 PM
right :) an sorry for remote loading
cheat-master30
21st January 2007, 06:55 PM
That's okay. Everyone makes that mistake. The reason it is bad is because people pay for bandwidth, and remote loading uses images from another website and hence uses their bandwidth while people view your page. This can crash a small website if you are running a large fan site or forum.
caprontos
21st January 2007, 07:01 PM
well I could have "stolen" them but links work just as well and its less work for me
cheat-master30
21st January 2007, 07:02 PM
Yeah, and it is more legal to just link to them rather than remote load them and way more legal than to copy them to a free image hosting account.

caprontos
22nd January 2007, 10:07 PM
what exactly is the story of Pantom Hourglass.. if anyone knows.. it might even have been posted here (or its on the main site..).. but
I read it revolves around one big dungeon and you have to collect items from smaller dugeons to make it further in the big dungeon
caprontos
22nd January 2007, 10:08 PM
I also read that the game revolves around a huge dungeon, as well as a series of smaller ones, and you get items from the smaller ones (and the like from beating bosses and puzzles) and then use them to unlock parts of the larger, more main dungeon. I also heard that there are enemies which chase you around the larger one and can instantly defeat the player.
from the main site :)
cheat-master30
22nd January 2007, 10:14 PM
Not sure about the story. It most likely involves Ganon or Vaati, but maybe a new villain is involved?
caprontos
22nd January 2007, 10:32 PM
I'm going to guess something new as Ganon was turned to Stone at the end of WW.. and idk if they'll make him come back so soon..
cheat-master30
22nd January 2007, 10:35 PM
It's possible though. Nintendo seems to always bring back old foes. Note how in Twilight Princess I heard Ganon was the final boss, even though people were kind of told otherwise before and how many times Bowser has been re-used in the Mario series even after who knows how many deatha by lava, heights, explosives etc.
caprontos
22nd January 2007, 10:38 PM
thats true but PH is right after WW so Idk.. it just would seem to soon.. but Idk
cheat-master30
22nd January 2007, 10:39 PM
Who knows. Only Nintendo really.
caprontos
23rd January 2007, 02:44 AM
true
post limti oh fun...
cheat-master30
23rd January 2007, 06:06 PM
I am personally extremely keen to know what the game is actually like, and how the items use the touch screen. In fact, I am more interested in things such as how the touch screen and dual screen features may be used for dungeon puzzles and the ways you defeat bosses in this game.
caprontos
23rd January 2007, 07:43 PM
and if its true and it will invole Touch screen controls only that will make it quite a diffrent expriance then past Zelda games
cheat-master30
23rd January 2007, 07:44 PM
I hope so. I can already picture how much better drawing the path of the boomerang is than using a control pad or control stick. Plus, you can write notes on the map or something!
caprontos
23rd January 2007, 08:03 PM
yes but I do think they should add in the option to use reguler controls for moving and attacking...
cheat-master30
23rd January 2007, 08:10 PM
True, as I am not a fan of being forced to use gimmick style controls if they do not make the game experience better.
caprontos
23rd January 2007, 09:39 PM
very true.. i didn't like the touch screen controls for Mario64 on the DS..
cheat-master30
23rd January 2007, 09:42 PM
That's why I, and many of those who went to the Super Mario 64 DS Board on Gamefaqs preferred and still prefer the standard control scheme.
caprontos
23rd January 2007, 09:56 PM
oks I'm gonna go to gamefaqs now and see if I'm still loged in..

caprontos
25th January 2007, 10:07 PM
yep that will be be nice.. when they do... as you already know the Zelda serise is my faovrite.. but I'm not a fanboy..
cheat-master30
25th January 2007, 10:14 PM
I would like to see all these things as the dungeons are some of the most important parts of the Legend of Zelda series games, and they need to be seen.

Yeah, as many other forums say stuff that short. And 'bump'

but forums like gamefaqs I understand it because the topic would be deleted if they didn't.
cheat-master30
27th January 2007, 08:31 PM
Yeah, but only because of the purge. Most forums don't have that though, so bump is not necessary.

27th January 2007, 08:48 PM
yep true... I need to finish my third version of mygame soon.. i was suppose to by now.. I just don't feel like wring any GML for the movment of a few new sprites.. maybe tommrow I'll feel more up to it...

cheat-master30

Yeah, a 3rd of the member count or so already in a month! That's a third in one tenth of the time (the old forum only reached 6000 posts and 65 members in about 8-9 months!
caprontos
31st January 2007, 07:05 PM
plus we got half the post the old forum had if it stays this active for 8-9 months it'll have (in theory) 24000 post with 168 members... but this is really unaccurate.. because more posters would mean more post obviously..
cheat-master30
31st January 2007, 07:17 PM
Yeah, and way more members will mean way more posts. Unless they are all inactive members, and that would not be good.
caprontos
31st January 2007, 07:18 PM
no it wouldn't be we need like 50 active members.
cheat-master30
31st January 2007, 07:36 PM
Yeah, 50 active members with a forum like this would make a hugely active forum. 50 X 500 posts roughly would equal 20 000+ in about a month.

Thwomps, Goombas, Piranha Plants, Pokeys, Boos, Chain Chomps and even what looks like a mini version of Fry Guy! Oh, and did you know the debug name for Big Boo's Haunt is Teresa House, and Boo is called Teresa in Japan?

He's under there as Gel. When he hops, it looks a lot more like a diglett. I don't have a pic, but I know there are tons in the forest.

Yeah... and in Link's Awakening [DX] there were ven parts where it was 2D with goombas and those block dudes that go "arghARGGHGGHGHH". When you have rocs cape and can jump it feels like MArio in a Zelda game... creepy.

Okay, but back to the point, do you really think the one hit kill enemies in the main dungeon of this game will be that annoying? Or so dumb you can dodge them easily?

6th April 2007, 03:01 PM
yeah... those enemies look queer.
the only time they'll kill you is if you're not paying attention and just exploring the dungeon and I have a feeling they will pi$$ me of... but I HAVE to get the game anyway since it is Zelda.

6th April 2007, 03:12 PM
I will still get it anyway. Besides, if it is like the Wind Waker, Light Arrows could probably blast them to pieces.

Yes, but light arrows are usually found at the end of a game:(

Not sure, maybe something to do with the effect of 3D.
Symerwizkid22
7th April 2007, 10:09 PM
probably since in 3d you can see to the games horizon, not just the end of the screen.
cheat-master30
7th April 2007, 10:45 PM
Maybe. Maybe it's also that you can dodge using platforms and pits and all kinds of things, or maybe that there is less space in a 2D area.
