Say how to improve the forum design

Basically, what would you change, colour and layout wise when it comes to the header and footer of this forum (including logos):

Replace the banner(as I said in another thread) it's just really low quality and those sprites(gif/bmp) are waay better than jpegs, perhaps use the banner off the front page?

I might. I am still trying to think of what to add to make the message board banner.
