Full Name: Shadow Helix the Echidna

Species: Echidna

Gender:Male

Age: 17

Appearence: After 5 chaos emeralds are in Helix's grasp he will change into this form. His body becomes darker. His clothing also changes colors. His gloves and shoes no longer light are blue. They become a darker blue along with other colors.

Gloves: His gloves have become differently colored and have unique abilities now. They have changed into a red and dark blue. There seems to be some sort of diamond imbedded in each of them. But they are actually chaos emeralds in his hand that have changed shape and color and are seeable through the gloves. The gloves are now hard as steel and can smash through almost anything. They give off a faint power that will weaken anything that is near the aura, besides those with a chaos emerald.

Shoes:These have also changed in appearance as well. The upper green part has not only changed in appearance but as well in abilities. These have been morphed by the chaos emeralds as well and have given Helix enhanced balance, reflexes, agility, speed, and leg strength. The boot part has changed in color and abilities as well. The metal plates have become black. The boot part has become red, orange, and yellow. The bottum metal soles have become a dark blue. There also seems to be some sort of diamond in it but it too is a chaos emerald. It is embedded in his foot and changed it's appearance. They also are as hard as steel and give off an aura weakening those without a chaos emerald.

Amulet:This has changed in appearance also. There is also a change in abilities. The sapphire on the end is not a chaos emerald but a jewel created from the auras of the emeralds. Since it is near the emerald on the head. The metal has changed to a red and yellow. It also allows him to breathe under water but also he can create a barrier around him that can deflect about any attack.

Body: Like in the first paragraph, his body has become darker. The hair on his head has changed color as well and now have blue tips. His forehead has been imbedded with a chaos emerald and appears to be a diamond. If he does not have 5 chaos emeralds his body will absorb any chaos emeralds in a 10 foot radius.


Bio: Creation
Helix was never bred into existence. Scientists had planned on creating a creature able to spin faster than a helicopter's propellers. That was how he gained the name Helix. They first needed to create biological genes similar to that of an animal. After a long debate they had finally decided on the form of an echidna. They made him an abnormal color of grey and some blue. They finally sent three men to capture an echidna then brought it back into the lab. They then copied those genes and made a new echidna, at first being colorless. They then zapped him with a laser creating colors on the corresponding areas. They had finally created Helix.

Testing #1
After three days since project Helix was created they finally took the next action into making their dream. In order for Helix to be able to spin at a high rate they needed to enhance his strength to back up the spin speed to be able to withstand it. They had done genetical and biological testing to alter every muscle in his body. They had sent machines inside him to expand the muscles. Every three hours of the day they would expand the muscle until he became abnormally large. Once they decided it was enough they contracted the muscles into a packed spot, still giving him the un-earthly strength but making him skinny. This biological testing enhanced his strength and durability but was still not able to beat Knuckles in a contest testing power. But it was enough to withstand the spinning so the scientists stopped there.

Testing #2
It had been months since they had last did their tests and the scientists were ready again to continue the project. They kept him in the glass jar he was in and gave him an amulet that let him breathe underwater for the next testing. He still hadn't opened his eyes yet and did not know what was going on. He had been scared that they were going to kill him or hurt him. They took him into the tube full of water and had a spin cycle on it. He was then spinning in a horizontal way, opposite from the way sonic rolled. This was the first step as he spun at 20 MPH. He was left in there for one week, to get him adjusted to the spinning. They finally finished the first step and took him to a different tube.



Testing #3
The scientists then took him into a tube of highly pressurized air. It lifted him up into the middle of the tube since he weighed less than it. They began the machine and Helix started spinning. This was more intense and took him up to speeds of 50 MPH for the beginning but it was only on the low level. After two weeks of observing him they decided to take it to the next level. He started spinning at 125 MPH and less facial designs could be seen on him, mostly just a grey spiral. Becoming bored of watching him spin, the scientists watching him became rash and set the spin speed on 300 MPH. He opened his eyes for the first time when he sensed the danger. They waited for three days then set it to the maximum speed of 600 MPH.


Danger
After five days of the maximum speed Helix met his limit of taking abuse while down. He started to spin faster and began to make the machine malfunction. The glass broke and the pressurized air was out, leaving him able to move elsewhere. He spun through the glass. Helix stopped spinning and landed on a knee and a foot. He had an angered look on his face and looked at the scientists. His eyes told them to run or else they would face dire consequences and they understood. They dropped the notes and ran for their lives. He walked over to the equipment and noticed some things. He took some golden bracelets, blue shoes, and blue gloves. He put them on and liked the feel of them. He then saw something else. They were goggles that were small but they fit perfectly. He tried crushing them but was un-successfull. They had an amazingly tough material in them and seemed to fit him well. He accidently hit a button and started a self-destruct sequence. He started to rotate and ripped through the building. He made it outside then jumped off the science carrier. He was able to breathe underwater still from the amulet and swam to safety. He then noticed a large city and got confused...16 years ago. Now he helps the city by protecting the people and help keep it safe from evil.

Abilities:
Able to spin to 1200 MPH. Chaos control, Chaos Blast. Super strength, speed, balance, reflexes, and speed. Able to make whirlwinds with his arms or any other body part.

Personality: Helix now has a short and bad temper. He has become more bloodlust and angry. He tends to stay on the hero side though and will take that anger out on villains. He is very playful but when that period is over he is very serious. He tends to a liking of being alone and punching the crap out of things.
