So what exactly is Advance War. My friend tried describing it to me but didn't make much sense. I looked at wikipedia and it seemed like a starcraft type game. I loved starcraft and if this is like that I would definitely buy it. Please explain this game to me and which one to get (days of ruin or dual strike).

its a turn based strategy game (provided its still like both GBA games)
you capture city's/bases and they give so much income and you buy units every round (once per base and type of units depends what kinda base there's Barracks airports and shipyards)
after building enough army you go attack the enemy. I find it fun. also includes a map editor (at lest in the GBA ones) which is always fun
I assume star craft is kinda like war craft/age of empires right? its not exactly like those, as those are real time this is turn based :P both other then that I guess kinda. no building things though.. For that you could always try Age of Empries on DS.. turn based and you can build and such..
If you want a more real time strategy game then FF12 reverent wings supposedly is more like that.. :P but don't take my word for it as Ive never played it only watched it on youtube.. someday i plan to buy it. -

Hey thanks. They should really make a RTS like starcraft for DS. The touch screen could come in handy with that. I'll check out Age of Empires.

it would be quite interesting to see how a company could take advantage of the touch screen for a RTS. though making the game for the DS would still be a hefty task considering the DS is nothing like a computer

Input, process, storage, output. (or was it storage, process?)
If the DS does that, it's strikingly identical to a computer.
The DS is a computer, just different form of input and output. As is the same with any game console or handheld.

Actually, strike that, similar output, different input. =D

Yeah. There isn't really enough room on the screen for stuff like the buttons that are on the bottom in most RTSs. BUt still, the touch screen is remarkably similar to a mouse, and you could have the left click/right click thingy by holding down R or something when pressing the touch screen to simulate the right click.
